How to read the board
Anatomy of a ticket
Every leg on the board reads like this card. Hover a label to trace its line; on a phone, tap a number.
● Example only — not a live pick
👑King of the CourtDraftKings' NBA Tuesday promo: whoever picks the player with the most points + rebounds + assists of the night splits a bonus-bet pool, and a player prop on him enters you. We crown the player with the best chance once you weigh how many others will pick him, and post 1u on his points + rebounds + assists under. Any pre-game prop on him at -200 or longer enters, and the prop does not have to win; the under broke even last season and cashes on most of the nights he does not take the crown. That bet counts on our ledger; the bonus bets do not.
🎯DowntownThrees made, both ways. Overs: a player's over on FanDuel's line when our model gives him at least a 20% edge, one per game. Unders: the under on a line of 1.5 or more when our model makes the under more likely than not and gives it at least a 15% edge. The model weighs his three-point volume and shooting, his minutes lately, whether he's starting tonight, and the teammates sitting out. 1u each. Picks show ⏳ off the projected lineups and lock once both lineups are confirmed. A player who doesn't play is refunded.
⚡Tip-OffFirst basket, up to three straight bets per game. In each game we take our model's three most likely first scorers among the starters whose chance beats their FanDuel price; if nobody does, the game gets no bet. The game's 0.6u is split across them in proportion to their prices, so whichever one scores first returns the same amount, more than the whole game's stake. Something cashes on about 4 nights in 5. Our chance comes from who wins the opening tip, how often his team scores first, his share of the early shots, and the books' prices as one more layer.
🙌Why the tipThe team that wins the opening tip makes the first field goal close to two times in three. Every center’s jump-ball record is rated, so the tip is called before the game, not guessed — and the books price the stars, not the man in the circle.
